What’s Different About This Vegan Social Network?
As I am sure you are aware, this is not the only vegan social network in the world. There are actually thousands of them in all areas of the world .Many are small groups of dedicated individuals doing their best to spread the good news about veganism. Many of these groups are connected in some way to official nonprofit vegan organizations in various countries that do their best to provide information and support to these groups. It’s a grass roots movement with lofty goals, good intentions and most important supported by hard facts. Vegan ideology is based on good sound nutritional science, and is totally environmentally friendly and sustainable.
There are also a few online communities that call themselves vegan, vegetarian social networks. Some of these are blogs which have some form of interactivity within the blog structure, some are dating sites and a couple are actually quite similar in form to Wellolistic. What makes Wellolistic unique? It has all the tools necessary for a fully functional interactive website on many levels: blogs, forums, groups, chat, music, video and a Twitter like activity feed. Its primary focus will be the serious issues facing the world which veganism will help resolve. At least, this will be my primary focus.
Wellolistic existed as a health and wellness community before my wife and I became a vegan. Once I had become vegan, it was only a matter of time before I switched the focus of the website. One of the first things I always do when setting up a new website is check domain names. To my surprise, I found that all the domains for vegan social network were available so I bought them all, just in case I might need them. The fact that these names were still available made me think that there was an opportunity here. One of the first blogs I read about this subject lamented that there were no social networks for vegans so I took this as an invitation to create one.
While I may have set this community up—I don’t own it. I am responsible for it on a daily basis but I am more of a guide than an owner. I see this as a brand new artists’ studio where I created the space, supplied some of the paint brushes, easels, and the canvas and invite creative people who are passionate about veganism to participate. What will make Wellolistic different will be the genius of the membership. So the story of Wellolistic is yet to be written and I will do everything I can to encourage this venture. I am here only to encourage and to help lead the way.
Veganism is a very important movement that needs many voices to succeed with its message. Wellolistic hopes to be a huge, massive choir singing the praises of veganism and contributing in some small way to make this planet a better place for all living creatures who call this home.
